Two drivers were left trapped in their vehicles following a multiple vehicle collision on the corners of the N12 and Edenvale Road in Meadowbrook.
Netcare 911 responded to the incident at about 10pm on November 10.
The fire and rescue services used hydraulic tools to free the patients from the wreckage.
Five vehicles were involved in the collision.
Shawn Herbst, the media liaison officer of Netcare 911, said once stabilised and treated, all patients were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
“Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the relevant authorities.”
