Rotary Club honors community member for his service
Andrew invites anyone with an interest in supporting or participating in the club’s activities or joining the club to attend a meeting.
The Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon recently awarded Max Benjamin of Dowerglen Kwikspar a certificate of recognition for his support of Rotary projects.
Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon president-elect Andrew Connold said Max has supported the club’s projects and provided many Edenvale charities, including the Lionesses, SPCA and school debutantes.
Andrew said Max provided an opportunity for these charities to make collections for various worthy causes at the doors of the Dowerglen Kwikspar.
“Without such opportunities being provided by businesses in the Edenvale community, the task of volunteers seeking to improve the lives of those less fortunate would be substantially more difficult and many more of those in need in our community would have to go without,” said Andrew.
The Rotary Club of Knights Pendragon meets on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm at the Belgravia Bowling Club at 56 Florence Avenue, Bedfordview.
