Support Edenvale’s animals in need

With the community’s assistance, the SPCA can continue to fight for those that cannot speak.

With the end of the year approaching, Edenvale SPCA opened its 2019 Dogs Dinner Fund.

With the start of the annual Dogs Dinner Fund, residents and businesses are encouraged to donate funds to the organisation.

Inspector Jade Nel said it will be through the generosity of the community that the SPCA will continue assisting animals.

“The money raised will go towards renovations, animal treatments, education/outreach and the general running costs of the SPCA throughout the year.

“This year has been tough, financially we are struggling to continue all the work we want to do to care for all the animals we have in our care,” said Nel.

Nel said through the community support, the SPCA can continue to fight for the well-being of the animals.

Nel said last year’s SPCA donation drive raised a total of R115 577. The money was collected between October 10, 2018, and January 15.

Community members can either drop off their donations at the SPCA premises on Bhacus Road, or could donate electronically.

If donations are made via EFT, an email should be sent to the SPCA to notify them of the donation.
