A man shot at robbers in Meadowdale earlier today after items were taken from him.
It is believed that the man was followed to the area and then robbed of items in his possession.
The incident took place on Dick Kent Street near the Builders Warehouse in Meadowdale.
Capt André de Jager, Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson said as the suspects fled the scene, the man shot at them with his own firearm.
“The suspects fled the scene in a white Polo VW, which was later left on side of the road on the N12 toward Boksburg,” he said.
“The suspects then hijacked a Nissan Nivara bakkie, which was later recovered in Alexandra,” said De Jager.
He said nobody was injured on the scene and that investigations are still ongoing.
