Brighter Futures held a prize-giving at Dowerglen High School to acknowledge the mathematical talent of the school’s learners.
Learners from the school joined the Brighter Futures Maths Winter School over the mid-year holidays.
The maths camp saw more than 300 learners from over 15 schools participate.
Hitekani Gaza, a Grade 11 learner from Dowerglen High, won the grand prize.
Joanne Brink from Brighter Futures said she was proud of all of the learners’ achievements.
“Look at what these learners could do in four days with commitment and motivation,” said Brink.
“Imagine what they can do by their November maths exams if they keep this up.”
Prizes for the August 6 ceremony were donated by Ntabiseng Kgatlhane and Abigail Rampai of Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology.
