Birthday reunion to celebrate 100 years of excellence

The day will also involve some challenges, Old vs New.

Jeppe High School for Girls turns 100 this year.

To celebrate this momentous occasion with Jeppe Old Girls the school will host a Reunion Lunch celebrating this on September 14.

“We want to share this special moment with the Jeppe Old Girls. We invite them to join us and meet up with old school friends to share special memories they had at the school,” said Carole Heming, Jeppe Girls’ public relations officer.

The day promises to be a special one.

They will be serving a three-course lunch and people will have to book where they want to sit as cost are involved.

Dress code is black and white with a touch of your house colour.

The day will also involve some challenges, Old vs New.

Their will be tournaments in chess, hockey, netball and tennis for those that are interested.

Jeppe Girls just recently celebrated the school’s birthday on July 30.

The girls celebrated with art and athletics.

The girls were requested to showcase they artistic side through t-shirts designs.

The school was established in 1890 when it was founded along with the boys’ school as a single private Anglican school under the name St Michael’s College.

The girls split from the boys’ school at the beginning of 1919.
