CHOC received donation from Thornhill Manor

Two cuddly toys were also donated by Thornhill Manor’s Knit & Natter group.

Thornhill Manor Retirement Village in Modderfontein donated R5 000 collected by Zandile Pooe of the Rivonia Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC) on July 16.

The Rand Aid village decided to turn its July tea into a fund-raiser for CHOC.

Residents made monetary donations and bought raffle tickets, while donations were also made from the village fund and chapel committees.

Two cuddly toys were also donated by Thornhill Manor’s Knit & Natter group.

“The cuddly toys will be going to homes for children who are living with cancer to enjoy and bring smiles to their faces,” said Thornhill Manor deputy manager Jackie Scott.
