The race will start at 8am from the main school building of Jeppe High School for Girls.

“We hope to welcome our keen Kensington walkers and their families to join us once again.

“Dogs on leads are welcome. There will be refreshments on sale and limited parking available on the sports grounds,” said Carole Heming, Jeppe Girls public relations.

The 5km route will be manned by marshals and the metro police.

One lane of Roberts Avenue and Langermann Drive will be closed for safety reasons from Mallard to Protea streets and residents are asked to be patient or to use an alternative route.

The lane closure will be from 7.30am to 9.30am.

Tickets are R40 each and are available from Jeppe learners or from the school.

The Grade Nine learners will be hosting a market day on the school field at the finish line from 9am to 12 noon.

The parents association will have food and refreshments on sale.

There will be loads of fun for the whole family. For more information, contact the school on 011 616 5090 or sport@jeppegirls.co.za
