Learners from Hurlyvale Primary School celebrated Mandela Day when they gave back to the less fortunate.
On July 18, the school’s Grade Three learners collected food for Edenvale SPCA and spent their 67 minutes making dog toys from donated shirts.
The Grade Two learners decided they would support Edenvale Care Centre Hospice and donated food and clothes to the centre.
Not to be outdone, the school’s Grade One learners collected and donated books and teddy bears to Child Welfare SA – Edenvale and Bedfordview and Angelo informal settlement.
