City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) announced an upgrade of its website for online payments of municipal accounts.
CoE announced the website, e-Siyakhokha, is no longer in use.
The new website address is www.siyakhokha.ekurhuleni.gov.za
Customers of the upgraded online system will be able to view, manage and pay their municipal accounts.
Users of the old e-Siyakhokha.co.za will have to re-register on the new website, and new users are also encouraged to register.
According to CoE spokesperson Themba Gadebe, the changes come from the need for a platform that is user-friendly and easily accessible.
The website is for customers who prefer to avoid long queues.
“It is secure and easy to access when users want to manage, view and pay their municipal accounts online at any time.”
The website also allows users to make direct payments from their internet banking accounts.
Users can also log all municipal-related queries.
