Suspected drug dealer arrested in Klopperpark

“Officers discovered 28 ziplock bags of Khat and two packets of crystal methamphetamine weighing 65.92 grams.”

EMPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a suspected drug dealer in Klopperpark who was found in possession of R25 000 worth of drugs.

The 34-year-old-male Nigerian national was arrested on July 2 after officers received information about the suspect.

The arrest was made at a car wash, near the intersection of Lente Road and Kruin Street, where it was believed he operated from.

“Officers discovered 28 ziplock bags of khat and two packets of crystal methamphetamine weighing 65,92 grams,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.

“Cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics, was also confiscated.”

The man was arrested on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics and detained at Edenvale Police Station.
