The new post was aligned with Rand Aid’s Eden Alternative journey, which promotes a paradigm shift in the care of elders.

“Our team will identify areas of risk and concerns, then provide residents with help in coping with life issues that arise as a result of changes in health and cognitive capacity,” said Sue.

She will work in a team with recently appointed social workers Ulricka Beukman and Debbie Beech.

Ulricka said Rand Aid’s Eden Alternative commitment creates the perfect environment for herself, Debbie and Sue to optimally perform their jobs.

Debbie said they will work together for the good of the residents, who are always put first.
