Holy Rosary comes to hospice’s assistance

“The donations were brilliant, thanks to all of you our cupboards are full.”

Sister Leigh of Edenvale Care Centre Hospice paid a visit to Holy Rosary School to personally thank learners for their donations to the centre.

Recently, much-needed supplies including, toothpaste, tooth brushes, Savlon, Vaseline, toilet paper and roller towels were donated by the school.

Some of the donations from Holy Rosary School handed over to Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.

“The donations were brilliant, thanks to all of you our cupboards are full,” said Leigh while addressing the senior phase learners.

Kenda Knowles, the school’s advancement and marketing manager, said the donation drive formed part of the school’s outreach programme, Shanahan Co-Workers.

Another charity which also received donations was Mercy Haven.

It started on Ash Wednesday, March 6, and continued for six weeks.\

Learners were encouraged to donate an item each week.
