Suspect nabbed in Kensington drug bust

The suspect was taken into custody after officers raided the house and found large quantities of drugs in the house on March 5.

Joburg Flying Squad officers arrested a 38-year-old man at a house in Emerald Street, in Kensington, after receiving information about alleged drug dealing activity at the residence.

A 38-year-old suspect is booked and detained.

According to police spokesperson Sgt Desmond Subramoney, the drugs included heroin and cocaine.

“The drugs were confiscated and police investigations continue. The suspect was arrested for dealing and possession of drugs as per a Jeppe SAPS case. The man will be appearing in the Joburg Magistrate’s Court soon.”

The drugs from a house in Kensington were confiscated after police pounced.

“The SAPS urges communities to report any suspicious activities and information about crime on Crime Stop on 086 001 0111 or the SMS line 32211,” said Subramoney.
