Appeal: Sebenza appeals for information about shooting of beggar

Sebenza SAPS appealed for persons with information about a shooting in Esther Park to come forward. Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso, Sebenza SAPS spokesperson, said a beggar was shot on February 11 on Zuurfontein and Parklands Drive at about 6.45pm.

He later died in hospital.

“We call on the community for help and to come forward if they have any information on the shooting.”

Tsotsotso said initially it was assumed that the beggar was knocked down by a vehicle.

“It was later confirmed that the beggar had been shot. The beggar had been around that area for the past three months, “ said Tsotsotso.
