Edenglen hosts open day and welcomes Hoërskool Akasia

Although Edenglen did not win all their games, the spirit shown by staff and learners was incredible.

Edenglen High School hosted a recent open day showcasing everything the school has to offer.

Held on March 14, the day gave learners and staff the opportunity to put their best foot forward.

The school’s hall was set up to display the various subjects offered at the school, while the cultural department and Edenglen’s Blues drum majorettes entertained parents and future learners.

Parents and learners were taken on a tour of the school where they were treated to pizza prepared by the consumer studies students.

In addition to the open day, Edenglen faced off against Hoërskool Akasia during a derby day playing rugby, netball and hockey matches.

Georgette Brooks, the school’s public relations and marketing coordinator, said although Edenglen did not win all their games, the spirit shown by staff and learners was incredible.

The school thanked everyone who assisted on the day.
