Edenglen’s high flyers

The training course will run over the next five to six months and will include the legal aspects of flying a drone, flying a drone and coding with various coding languages.

Ten air traffic controllers attended the course held at Edenvale High School presented by Inspire Africa.

The training course titled Train-the-Trainer consisted of theoretical content as well as practical flying instruction.

It was held on March 9.

The aim of the course is to equip trainers with the necessary theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills to train other drone pilots.

Following the first course provided to 10 learners commencing on March 13, Edenglen High Drone Academy was established.

Each pilot owns his/her own drone, which will be used in the training.

The training course will run over the next five to six months and will include the legal aspects of flying a drone, flying a drone and coding with various coding languages.

Once learners turn 18 they may enrol for the course to become a commercial drone pilot.

The majority of future careers for pilots with a commercial licence are yet unknown.
