St Benedict’s open day

Parents and prospects were guided through a tour of the school hall, classrooms, fields and the boarding school by the college’s learners.

St Benedict’s hosted interested parents at their March 9 open day.

Parents and prospective learners were guided through the school, classrooms, fields and the boarding school by the college’s learners.

“Our main aim is to showcase our four pillars at the school, which are academics, culture and religion, sports and boarding school,” said deputy principal Toby Craig.

Inside the IT classrooms, the learners were informed about coding and robotics, while the mathematics classrooms had educators showing parents how learners are taught and what curriculum they offer to learners.

The entrance to the foyer showcased cultural performance achievements.

Down the road at the Junior Preparatory School, parents were treated to a tour of the school by eager tour guides, who are preparatory learners, and the junior learners performed their cultural pieces in a full hall.

The open day was well attended and was a clear indication of what prospective learners would enjoy daily at the school.
