Two weeks ago, on February 12, the Edenvale SAPS were called to the residential property by paramedics where they found the victim’s body lying on the floor.

Mashile said the paramedics were alerted to the situation by a community member.

Edenvale SAPS Sudesh Sookraj said there were traces of blood around the suspect.

The identity of the victim is known to the NEWS. However, because the arrested individual was known by the deceased, and has not pleaded or applied for bail, the NEWS took the editorial decision not to name her.
