SPCA fund closes on R115k

With the start of the new year, Edenvale SPCAs Dogs Dinner Fund has officially closed.

The fund started on October 10 and closed on January 15 with a total of R115 577.

Edenvale SPCA inspector, Jade Nel, thanked the community for their contributions to the fund.

“Your continued support makes it possible for us to care for the ever-increasing numbers of animals brought to our SPCA daily,” said Jade.

“A big thank you goes to the Bedfordview and Edenvale NEWS for once again supporting our SPCA and hosting the Christmas Dogs Dinner Fund.”

Jade also thanked the community for their donations of food and blankets for the SPCAs animals, donations for their second-hand shop, for the book store and all the monetary donations throughout the year.

“These donations ensure that we can give our animals all that is needed while in our care,” said Jade.

“Our community forms an integral part of our SPCA family. We thank you all.”
