Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Capt Richard Munyayi confirmed the gruesome find at a property on Wilhelmina Street in Troyeville where police authorities exhumed two bodies late last night.

Munyayi said a a third person who managed to escape from the shack, went to Jeppe SAPS at about 5pm yesterday and informed the police that two men had been murdered.
“The police rushed to the scene and found two bodies buried inside a shack. It is alleged that the deceased, aged 30 and 40, were taken into the shack by another two men on Tuesday morning at about 5am. It is believed the men tortured them to death.

“The suspects dug a hole inside the shack and buried the bodies. The suspects, with the help of a woman, put a bed on top of the grave inside the shack,” said Munyayi.
He said the woman (30) was taken to the police station, where she was questioned, and has since been charged with murder.
“The remaining two suspects are still at large. Police are investigating this double murder. The motive is still not known.

“It is alleged a crowbar was used to assault the deceased, but it was not found on the scene. Apparently the deceased were strangled. A manhunt has been launched to find the suspects.
“We are appealing to the community to assist with any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects,” said Munyayi.
