A woman was arrested by Cleveland SAPS on charges of murder after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend in the chest during an argument at their home in Malvern on January 12.
According to the Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Capt Johan Jordaan, neighbours heard the altercation and rushed to the house when they found the man lying on the ground bleeding.
He was taken to the Malvern Fire Station for medical treatment but died on his way there.
“Four men arrived with the 38-year-old injured man. He had a stab wound on the right side of his chest. He was examined and was declared dead on arrival,” said Jordaan.

“His girlfriend, a 29-year-old, was arrested and detained at Cleveland SAPS.”
“The woman was allegedly assaulted repeatedly by the deceased. The situation escalated at about 10pm when she reached for a knife and stabbed the man,” said Jordaan.
“The woman appeared at the Jeppe Magistrate’s Court on January 15. She has been remanded in custody until her next appearance.”
