Ward 61’s Nkwanyana geared up for 2019

We celebrate with the class of 2018 for passing their matric and getting ready for a new part of their lives.

It’s that time of the year again when we plan for the year, and also reflect on what we did wrong the previous year and learn what to do differently.

Ward 61 DA PR Clr Bongani Nkwanyana said it was a difficult 2018.

“As we start 2019 let us create many reasons to celebrate. Let’s be thankful for life, friends and family. We also celebrate with the class of 2018 and those who achieved in their matric results,” said Nkwanyana.

“They say time flies when you’re having fun and I have to say despite many challenges we faced during 2018, I have loved serving as the PR councillor for Ward 61. I would like to encourage the residents to continue working with the city in making it a better place.

“We know 2019 will be another challenging year, but let us work together and find better ways to make our community work,” said Nkwanyana.

He said the City of Johannesburg has been working hard to deliver services.

“We had challenges last year with service delivery, we will try to improve in 2019.

“I would like to acknowledge the tremendous effort of Region F service delivery officials from different municipal entities and departments such as JMPD, Joburg Water, Joburg Road Agency, City Power, City Parks and Pikitup. We could not manage to deliver services without them and we hope we can do even better this year,” said Nkwanyana.

He urged residents to continue working with councillors.

“When a community supports the councillor in his work it creates a relationship that grows the community.”
