October was World Hunger Month and Saheti School joined the fight against world hunger.

The school partnered with the Clothes to Good and Clothes to Food initiatives, together with the international organisation, Rise Against Hunger.

For the past two terms, learners have been collecting clothes to fund 5 000 meals for early childhood development centres in the community.

The school has received an additional 5 000 meals sponsored by Rise Against Hunger.

Continuing their fight against world hunger, Saheti hosted an event on October 20, where learners, together with St Andrews School for Girls, packed food parcels that will provide meals for six to 18 months for local disadvantaged communities.

The school also made toys and educational toolkits using 95 per cent recycled items for homes that cater to the needs of disabled or under-stimulated children.
