Christmas fun at Edenvale Bowls Club

The South African Women’s Institute of Home-crafters recently held their end of year function where musical duo Merwyn Miller and Eileen Wainer entertained the crowd.

The Christmas function was held at the Edenvale Bowling Club on December 5.

Chairperson and treasurer of the group Maureen Scholfield said the group meet regularly and discuss interesting topics such as beekeeping and garden care.

Additionally, cheques of R1 000 were given to the Edenvale SPCA, Edenhaven Retirement Village and Little Eden Society.

“The institute is ideal for people who have just retired and are interested in learning new skills and making new friends,” said Scholfield.
