Join the residents of Little Eden for spectacular festive celebrations

Little Eden brace for year-end concerts with a difference.

As many gear up for wild celebrations this festive season, the residents of Little Eden Society in Edenvale are braced for exciting celebrations in concert with friends and benefactors.

A concert will be held at the Domitilla and Danny Hyams Home on November 16 and 17 before moving over to the Elvira Rota Village in Bapsfontein on November 23 and 24.

Both concerts are set for a 10am start.

“The concerts are the highlight of the year at Little Eden. Friends and benefactors of the society come from all over to be part of these special performances to which the residents and staff look forward to for many months,” said Nichollette Muthige, Little Eden’s public relations and communications officer.

“The concert practice forms part of the care and stimulation therapy programme during the year. The traditional nativity scenes are creatively weaved into the concert themes: Our Colourful Emotions and 7 Days of the Week. The residents are very proud to demonstrate their abilities, which they are encouraged to develop on a daily basis.”

Visitors will have an opportunity to browse through the Christmas stalls which will be on display at the end of the concerts.

Concert-goers can also rub shoulders with the Society’s most important beneficiaries, the children and even take a guided tour of the facilities.

“If you are joining us at Bapsfontein, don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes and a sun hat if you wish to go on a tour of the facilities or meander down to the wetlands for some peaceful time out in nature,” said Muthige.
