“On the Kloof Road dip at Oriel Park there needs to be clearing of stormwater drains and sweeping of road debris and leaves.

“On Nicol Road and Bothma dip, there needs to be repair and clearing of stormwater drains and ‘cubes’ to stop trucks driving over them,” said Humphreys.

She said that the stream also needs to be cleared.

Humphreys also mentioned that drainage needs realignment on Chaucer Road after a water pipeline installation recently.

She said that an urgent need of an upgrade is needed as the existing drain lines are too small to absorb water.

“Once again there are going to be serious claims against the metro if urgent and necessary upgrades for stormwater management are not implemented. There is enormous development in the area and this aspect of our infrastructure has been completely ignored,” said Humphreys.
