The newer members were eager to brave the audience to present their Icebreaker speeches, Level One from the new Toastmasters educational programme, Pathways.

The impromptu speakers didn’t disappoint, as they were given the task of debating with themselves over a certain issue.

The prepared speeches were of a high quality with two new members, Paul Baggott and Lethukwanda Dlamini, entertaining the audience with their Level One speeches.

At the end of the evening, Paul was voted as the best prepared speaker for the evening with David Preece being voted as the best evaluator and best impromptu speaker.

Village Toastmasters meets the third Tuesday of every month at Trinity Presbyterian Church, situated at the corner of St David and Koster roads in Elma Park.
