Elderly enjoy outing to Sandton

Residents from Arbor Village recently paid a visit to SA Guide Dogs Association in Sandton.
The senior citizens from Bedfordview visited the association on October 3.
During their visit, they were introduced to numerous supporters, guide dogs and CEO of the association Vernon Tutton.
Guest speaker Michiel van der Merwe spoke about his experience raising funds for the association on Mount Everest.

In 2017 Michiel and several colleagues spent 15 days at Everest Base Camp.
The luggage for the trip was lost on route, leaving the fund-raisers with no change of clothing or other necessities.
Michiel’s talk was followed by that of Rozelle Smit who introduced the audience to her guide dog Dory.
Rozelle spoke to the audience about the unqualified support and love offered to her by her faithful companion and helper Dory.
