Two people were killed in a motor vehicle crash this morning on the N3 south at the Van Buuren Road off-ramp.
According to information received the crash occurred at around 5.30am.
The media spokesperson for Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS), William Ntladi said the accident involved a light motor vehicle and a truck.
Four occupants in vehicle
“There were four occupants of the motor vehicle. Two of the occupants were declared dead at the scene,” said Ntladi.
He added that the remaining two occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals.
The highway has been reopened to traffic.
