“The role played by our partners in bringing us together this evening is a shining example of partnership in action,” said founder of Edenview Business Forum and owner of Colcacchio Eastgate, Bajith Panday.

“If we are to create an enabling environment, we as businesses need to step up to the plate and play an active role in shaping our own environment. With the help of our partners we have taken a massive step toward that goal this evening,” said Panday.

He said that the Edenview Business Forum is an initiative of like-minded business owners who have seen the need to come together to collaborate on matters of business development and sustainability.

Shaheen Hoosen from SACCI congratulated the partners for forming the Edenview Business Forum.

He said they aim to harness positive energies towards a solution- based strategy in order to help their businesses survive and thrive.

He added that they see themselves as members of the community and believe they have a constructive role in creating an enabling environment for their businesses to prosper.

“To this end, they will work with the public and private sector, as well as NGOs, for the purpose of training, funding, networking and business-to- business marketing and sales,” said Panday.

The vice president of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SACCI), Shaheen Hoosen, congratulated the partners for playing a crucial role in making the EBF a reality.

“If you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together,” said Hoosen.

The evening was concluded with a dynamic master class in sales by Justin Cohen, author of Pitch to Win.

Cohen wowed the audience with his inspirational yet practical approach to sales.

His six-step TTOPPS formula to winning the pitch was enthusiastically received by the audience.
