Knee replacement no hindrance for Inyoni Creek’s Neil

“I love that there are so many different venues for runners to do the Parkrun."

Despite having both knees replaced eight years ago, Inyoni Creek resident Neil Munro recently completed his 50th Parkrun.

He celebrated his achievement on September 1 at the Modderfontein Nature Reserve Parkrun.

Munro who did running in high school has become an avid Parkrunner like millions across the globe.

Internationally, approximately 1 300 Parkruns are held each week.

The event is highly social, easy-to-enter and caters for people of all levels of fitness across the country.

“I love that there are so many different venues for runners to do the Parkrun,” said Munro.

Munro who has lived at the retirement village for 11 years, spends time in nature and is an avid photographer.

At the village, he is known as the Quizmaster for the challenging quiz events he hosts for other residents.
