Update: Bedfordview Licensing Department now open

The closure was due to the delay in procurement of printer cartridges

Themba Gadebe spokesperson for the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) confirmed to the NEWS this morning that the Bedfordview Licensing Department was once again fully operational.

Gadebe says that this follows the temporary interruption in operations on Monday and Tuesday when registrations and licensing of vehicles could not be done.

He said that this was due to the delay in procurement of printer cartridges which emanated due to teething problems of the newly introduced central procurement processes.

“These processes were introduced as part of fighting corruption in the city,” said Gadebe.
