Even through all his illness, he insisted on coming to the club on Saturdays to keep his eye on the training.

Graham lived his life for his wife Esther, his children and grandchild and of course his for love of dogs, especially for German Shepherds.

His knowledge of the breed and training of Alsatians, together with his wife Esther, were well known and respected throughout the country.

Together they bred over 50 litters of dogs over the years.

They produced many national champion dogs from their litters.

Graham was well known for his vast knowledge of both the rules of competitions and for the standards of the strict breeding of the German Shepherd dogs.

He also served on the committee of Kennel Union of South Africa.

He was born in Birmingham on December 5, 1935. He came to South Africa with his parents in 1953 and returned to the UK with them.

He served in the British Army in 1954 and later became a computer systems manager, but he loved this country so much that he returned to South Africa in 1969.

He settled with his young wife Esther and their young family in Germiston where he remained until his death.

Graham Price ran SA Alsatian German Shepherd Dog Club as if his life depended on it, including when the club started accepting all breeds of dogs for training.

He dedicated his time and efforts to the well-being of the club.

He will be truly missed, by not only the members of the club but the whole of the dog world.
