40-year-old fraud and theft suspect arrested in Bruma

Further investigation revealed that the suspect was wanted at Greenwood Park SAPS, Umhlali SAPS and Pretoria Central SAPS for theft and fraud and other financial crimes

The Gauteng Covert Intelligence Collection Unit (CIC) and the Johannesburg Flying Squad arrested a 40-year-old woman for theft and fraud in Bruma on July 23.

Cleveland SAPS spokesperson Capt Johan Jordaan said officials received information about the wanted suspect.

“They proceeded to the given address. Upon arrival they found the suspect at a house and arrested her,” he said.

Jordaan said further investigation revealed the suspect was wanted at Greenwood Park SAPS, Umhlali SAPS and Pretoria Central SAPS for theft and fraud and other financial crimes.

“She is expected to appear in court in different policing areas soon,” he said.
