Cat Shack gets some love this Mandela Day

"I think we would've stayed there all day if we could have,"

Eden Radio team and Jack Russell Estates recently partnered up to assist animals in need at Hurlyvale-based Cat Shack on Mandela Day.

The donations of cat food and cat litter were collected earlier this year.

Melissa Vieira from Eden Radio said the donations were given on Mandela Day.

She said the group spent an hour giving love to the cats and kittens.

“I think we would’ve stayed there all day if we could have,” said Melissa.

Brenda Höfer, the owner of Cat Shack, said she was happy to receive the donations.

“Every little bit helps,” said Brenda.

Other items which Cat Shack still needs include old towels and blankets.
