The bust was unveiled and blessed at a Founders Day Mass when St Benedicts, celebrated their 60th anniversary.

Dunvegan-based artist and sculptor Roy Brooks recently unveiled a bust of Brother Eugene de Mazenod at St Benedict’s College.

Dunvegan artist Roy Brooks stands next to the bust he created of Brother Eugene de Mazenod. De Mazenod was the founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, a missionary who founded the school.

Roy was commissioned by the school to create a sculpture of the founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

The missionary established the school in 1958.

As an established artist, Roy’s artworks can be found in South Africa, England, USA and Japan.
