Like last year the donations were made by community members who shopped at the Karaglen Spar.
They will be used by Khanyisa Trust Soup Kitchen which feeds over 100 people daily, five days a week.
Angel Mdlalose, manager of the Karaglen SuperSpar, said the Spar has a big sense of community spirit and is focused on assisting the community.
The donation drive gave community members the opportunity to give back this Mandela Month.
