“Through her art Joy asks questions and makes suggestions rather than statements.”

Artist Joy Heyneke is set to host a painting demonstration at the Paint and Palette Group’s monthly art demonstration.

Moira Simonsen, demonstration co-ordinator of the group, said Joy discovered her creative passion while at university.

“Joy realised she communicated most effectively through the visual expression of creative thoughts.”

In her artworks Joy makes use of personal symbols often represented as everyday objects.

She is also inspired by the content of the Bible.

“Through her art Joy asks questions and makes suggestions rather than statements,” said Moira.

She focuses on expressing the essence of ideas and solutions.

Her work is often open-ended.
