Residents in St Christopher Road, Senderwood, were without water for days following a water pipe burst on June 17.
Ward 20 Clr Jill Humphreys said it has been a major problem in the area for a while.
“Every time Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality sends someone to fix the pipes which later bursts again.
“This has happened three times. Residents have been without water for days. I will be attempting to get water tanks in the area. I am fed up with this problem,” said Humphreys.
