Siyaqhuba Mayoral Outreach Programme comes to Edenvale

“Siyaqhuba hopes to ensure that service delivery is provided to the community.”

The Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme made its way through Edenvale to address service delivery in the community on June 8.

The rapid response programme initiated by the City of Ekurhuleni’s executive mayor Mzwandile Masina started last year.

During the programme staff from the CoE visit towns in the municipality and give attention to service delivery issues raised by community members and ward councillors.

Issues which are highlighted by the programme are either attended to on the scene or addressed as soon as possible.

While in Edenvale municipal workers gave attention to the:

• Trimming of trees along Sixteenth Avenue.

• Patching of potholes on Seventeenth Avenue and Andries Pretorius Road.

• Cleaning of the Eastleigh Taxi Rank.

CoE’s divisional head of operations (CRM) and Siyaqhuba project manager Goodness Nhlapo said since the programme was implemented it has been successful.

“Siyaqhuba hopes to ensure that service delivery is provided to the community,” said Nhlapo.
