St Andrews netball player to play in World Championships

Kelsey-Erin Gems, a Grade 11 learner at St Andrew’s School for Girls, has been invited to join the u-19 South African invitational team.

The team will play in the World Championships in October.

Kelsey was selected after playing in the Netball Inter-Provincial Tournament in April.

Her team won gold for the 6’s and 7’s.

St Andrew’s learners Thandolwethu Makhaza in Grade Nine and Chabu Kambafwile in Grade Eight also played in the Netball Inter-Provincial Tournament for Easterns.

Thando’s team finished in sixth place, while Chabu’s team finished in fourth place.
