Two arrested for possession of marijuana plants, processed marijuana

“It’s estimated that the confiscated drugs have a street value of R2 000.”

Two suspects were arrested after they were found in the possession of marijuana plants and processed marijuana.

The two men, aged 67 and 27, were arrested on May 27 by members of the Edenvale SAPS crime prevention team.

Captain Jean Olckers, the spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS, said officers arrested the men in Sector Two after following up on information.

“It is estimated that the confiscated drugs have a street value of R2 000,” said Olckers.

They were charged under the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act.

“We urge community members to report any and all suspicious activity,” said Olckers.
