The event took place at Stoneridge Centre in Greenstone Hill from 12 noon to 3pm.

Students from Oakfields College collected donations such as fleece blankets, bath or hand towels and monetary donations.

The charity event was inspired by an assignment on event managing and wedding planning completed by the students, who had to submit a report on what was achieved on the day.

Student Nicole Barros said they came up with the idea themselves.
