MCF interim committee need more members

JOBURG – Spadino said MCF is still looking for people to join this interim body.

The Malvern Community Forum (MCF) held a public meeting at Malvern Primary School on April 21.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the interim committee to the community.

The members are Nomvula Sidu (chairperson), Rose Monarong (secretary), Aloisi Mnisi (deputy secretary), Mike Spadino (spokesperson) and two additional members, Ruth Jacobs and Happy Dlada.

Spadino said MCF is still looking for people to join this interim body.

“Residents must know that this is not a paying job. We are all volunteers. We love our suburb and we would like to see it clean,” he said.

Sector Three manager Warrant Officer John Mokgatle was also present.

He advised residents on how they can avoid being victims of crime. He also told them to report any criminal activities to reduce crime in the area.

Spadino said he was happy with the outcome of the meeting.

“The meeting was well attended by residents,” he said.

The forum is a voluntary non-profit, non-political and non-theological organisation which consists of residents, tenants and business owners from Malvern.
