50th wedding anniversary for Lakeside residents

Two Lakeside residents will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 27.

Peter George Walter Kalis (75) and his wife, Althea (70) have been residents of Lakeside Village since 2001.

They previously lived in Craighall Park and Parkhurst before moving to Modderfontein.

Their granddaughter, Jessica Mhizha, said her grandparents are a wonderful and a caring couple, filled with love for each other and everyone they meet.

“They tied the knot on April 27, 1968, and 50 years later they are still happily married and continue to be each others’ first and only true love,” she said.
