Jeppe SAPS arrested 46 suspects between April 16 and 22.
The suspects were arrested for committing crimes ranging from murder, armed robbery, business robbery and rape.
The arrests included:
• Four for common assault.
• Six for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
• Four for possession of unlicensed firearms.
• Three for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle.
• Two for possession of dagga.
• Two for rape.
• Seven for armed robbery.
Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Captain Richard Munyai said most of the suspects appeared at Jeppe Magistrate’s Court and others are yet to appear in court.
“Some of them paid fines and bail while others remain in police custody due to further investigation,” he said.
