The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested one suspect on April 18 on charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances at a store in the Edenvale CBD.

EMPD officers also seized crystal methamphetamine and Kat to the value of R3 300.
EMPD spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said the unit had been observing the store for some time before the raid occurred.
“Ten ziplock bags of Kat and five ziplock bags of crystal meth were confiscated by the unit,” Kgasago said.
Kgasago said the 35-year-old suspect was taken to the Edenvale Police Station, where he was detained.

The suspect will face charges of possession and dealing in illicit substances in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court.
