Toastmasters International launches innovative educational system

Two members began their journey on Pathways on April 7 at Modderfontein Breakfast Toastmasters Club

Toastmasters International has launched a new and innovative educational system called Pathways.

The new system is modern and uses technology in their approach to members learning vital communication and leadership training.

When a member joins Toastmasters, they take part in an assessment and from there they receive a tailor-made path designed for that members’ personal needs.

Two members began their journey on Pathways on April 7 at Modderfontein Breakfast Toastmasters Club, Ofhani Rapetswane and Richard Armour.

Ofhani has completed his competent communicator on the old educational system.

He has been a member for three years and is currently the vice president for education at Modderfontein. He was also voted as the best speaker at the club in 2017.

Richard Armour has been a member for four years and has completed several advanced levels on the old educational system.

He has represented the club at the highest level in the humorous speech contest in Southern Africa.

He has also become a Pathways guide within Southern Africa and is responsible for the rollout of the new educational system for eight clubs within the East Rand area, including the Modderfontein Breakfast Club.

The Modderfontein Breakfast Toastmasters Club meets on the second and fourth Saturday of each month at The Dros Restaurant, Edenmeadows Shopping Centre at 8am for 8.30am. All are welcome to attend the meetings.
