“To prevent further deterioration of the roads the stormwater infrastructure must first be improved.”

With the start of repair work to Meadowdale’s stormwater infrastructure, community members and motorists can start breathing a sigh of relief.

The project, which began in March, will see numerous improvements made to the area.

Plaskitt said the improvement of the stormwater infrastructure should reduce flooding in the area.

She said water flowing above ground should be “greatly reduced”.

Because of a large number of businesses in the Meadowdale area, Plaskitt said it is vital for the infrastructure to be repaired.
